We have organised a couple of events prior to the big celebration. We want to make the most of our time with you in Sydney and want to show off our beautiful city to our international friends and family.
If you would like to join us for any or all of the following events, please let us know on the R.S.V.P. page, as we will need to know numbers when making bookings.
Of course unless otherwise noted, children are more than welcome at all of the below activities.
The Bavarian Bier Cafe
We will take the Sydney Ferry from Circular Quay to Manly to have dinner at the Bavarian Bier Cafe while we enjoy the beach atmosphere.
The Bavarian Bier Cafe is located on Manly Wharf overlooking stunning Manly Cove.
It is the ideal location for family and friends to sit back and relax with a stein or two and tasty modern cuisine.
We have booked a large table outside and you can select from an extensive cafe menu, plus a huge selection of ten draught Bavarian Biers on tap plus nine imported Bavarian Biers by the bottle, guaranteeing you a fun night out!
For those joining us from Wyndham Apartments we will meet in the foyer at 4:30, with the expectation of catching the 5:20 ferry, that will give us a chance to have a look around Manly and walk down to Manly beach for those interested. Our booking at the restaurant is for 7:00pm
Others can meet us in Manly at the Cafe at 7:00pm
For those who would like to join in the fun, but didn't indicate so on their original R.S.V.P., please feel free to R.S.V.P. again, but simply leave the other sections empty.
We will return to the city by ferry after dinner.
The Harbour View Hotel, The Rocks
6:00 pm (Meet at 5:20 pm in the foyer of the apartment building for those wanting to go together.)

Have a few drinks at the “local”, enjoy some good Aussie hospitality and then if you are game, explore tales of murders, hangings and hauntings in the birthplace of modern-day Australia with a 2 hour guided Ghost Tour of Sydney’s The Rocks precinct (see below). If you're lucky enough to make it out alive, the guide will return you back to the pub.

At the hotel we have organised a wide selection of food platters to be served. A selection of white and red wine and beer will also be available at no charge, if you would like to purchase other beverages or choose from their extensive menu, this is available on a pay-as-you-order basis.

The tour is for 2 hours and the guide will bring you back to the Harbour View Hotel at approx 10:30 pm

Come and join us for a game or two of casual lawn bowls combined with a barbecue and the spectacular ocean at Coogee Bowling Club.
How does it all work?
They supply the bowls and basic coaching if you have never bowled before. Dress casual, we recommend that you wear a hat, sunnies and sunscreen. You must wear flat soled shoes i.e.: joggers, thongs, converse etc. are o.k. – no raised heels are permitted. All drinks must be purchased from the club bar. Drinks may be consumed outside the clubhouse on the surrounds of the green, but must not be taken onto the playing surface.

This is the gem at the top of Sydney’s crown. It's the best way to appreciate the contours of the Harbour and the spread of the city. There are two ways to get to the turret's Observation Deck - climb the 1504 stairs! - Or ride to the top in one of three small, but fast lifts. They power up the steel shaft of the tower in about 40 seconds to deposit you at the roof of Sydney for a 360-degree panorama you’ll never forget.
The bar sits on level 47 of the Australia Square building and has killer 360-degree views of this marvellous Harbour city.
Fantastic View!
On the famous Bondi Beach with a magical view! You can just go for a drink, you won’t be disappointed!
OK, now we are just getting sentimental... the above are just a few examples of the many, many ways to discover beautiful Sydney.
